Arris Grand, Brooklyn, NY

Optimizing Building Ventilation at Arris Grand: The Installation of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators

In the bustling heart of Brooklyn, NY, the newly constructed Arris Grand stands as a beacon of modern living and architectural excellence. Located at 445 Grand Avenue and built in 2023, this nine-story marvel houses 113 meticulously designed apartments. But beyond its aesthetic appeal, the Arris Grand has taken a significant leap in ensuring optimal indoor air quality and energy efficiency through a pioneering installation project. The focus of this initiative was the integration of eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) throughout the building’s exhaust system, a step that underscores the development’s commitment to sustainability and resident comfort.

This project entailed the seamless integration of both 4-inch and 3-inch Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) across the building’s toilet exhaust systems, employing 6×6 adapter plates to ensure a flawless installation.

The adoption of eFlow-CARs in a residential building like Arris Grand brings forth a myriad of benefits, pivotal for both the inhabitants and the environment.

Here are some key advantages:

Energy Efficiency: CARs maintain consistent airflow, reducing the burden on HVAC systems. This consistency translates into lower energy consumption and, consequently, reduced utility bills for residents.

Enhanced Indoor Air Quality: By ensuring optimal airflow, CARs significantly improve indoor air quality. They help in mitigating pollutants, odors, and humidity levels, contributing to a healthier living environment.

Automatic Adjustment: One of the standout features of CARs is their ability to automatically adjust to changing pressures within the ductwork. This ensures that airflow remains constant, regardless of external factors, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

Noise Reduction: CARs contribute to a quieter living environment by eliminating the need for excessive fan speeds and reducing airflow noise through the ducts.

Cost-Effectiveness: Over time, the energy savings and reduced maintenance needs make CARs a cost-effective solution for modern buildings.
A Commitment to Excellence

This project stands as a shining example of how innovative technologies like CARs can be seamlessly integrated into modern architecture to deliver tangible benefits. The Arris Grand is not just a place to live; it’s a benchmark for sustainable and comfortable urban living, setting the stage for future developments to follow in its footsteps.

The Arris Grand was development by Ranger Properties and was brought to life through the visionary design of the award-winning architecture firm, Fogarty Finger. The installation of eFlow Constant Airflow Regulators (CARs) was expertly handled by Eastern Air HVAC Inc.
