eFlow USA provided technical expertise and tailored solutions for 500 Main Street, a $200 million, 26-story mixed-use tower in downtown New Rochelle, NY. The project introduces 477 new residential units to the city, 25% of which are designated as affordable housing. Developed by BRP Development Corp, the building was designed by Niles Bolton Associates with MEP engineering by KEA Engineers.
Working with product representative SRS Enterprises and installer All City Metal, eFlow delivered two tailored airflow solutions:
- 4” Standard Pressure CARs in 6″x6″ Mounting Plates
- 4” High Pressure CARs in 6″x6″ Mounting Plates for upper floors (24 through rooftop)
Strategic Pressure Balancing from the Ground Up
eFlow USA’s technical team recommended installing high pressure airflow regulators on the uppermost floors—closer to the fan discharge point—to maintain balanced ventilation throughout the full height of the building.
This strategic configuration minimizes system imbalance, reduces strain on the fan system, and helps meet the building’s performance targets without overdesigning.

eFlow-CAR FACTS
eFlow-CAR is a simple solution to balancing ventilation systems. Constant Airflow Regulator is a device that automatically regulates airflows in ventilation systems to constant levels. The passive control element responds to duct pressure, and requires no electric sensors, pneumatic sensors or controls. eFlow-CARs promote high indoor air quality and energy savings.
