The retrofit of the ventilation system at 1725 York Avenue, a 33-story co-op building with 259 units, has markedly enhanced indoor air quality and resident comfort, successfully mitigating the stack effect. By installing eFlow-Constant Airflow Regulators (eFlow-CARs), the project effectively resolved issues like kitchen odors and unbalanced airflow caused by seasonal changes and the stack effect. eFlow-CAR is a simple solution to balancing ventilation systems. Constant Airflow Regulator is a device that automatically regulates airflows in ventilation systems to constant levels. The passive control element responds to duct pressure, and requires no electric sensors, pneumatic sensors or controls. eFlow-CARs promote high indoor air quality and energy savings.
