Casa Celina, 1001 Thieriot Ave, Bronx, NY

Sustainable Senior Housing

Project Background

Casa Celina Senior Living is a 16-story, 205-unit affordable senior housing development in the Bronx, set for completion in 2024. Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning, the building includes sustainability measures to achieve LEED Gold certification. eFlow USA supplied eFlow-CARs in custom Mounting Plate assemblies, ensuring energy-efficient ventilation throughout the building.

City agencies involved in the project include New York City Public Housing Authority (NYCHA), the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), and the NYC Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

Project Details

eFlow USA collaborated with Mechanical Technologies for product representation, while installation of eFlow products was carried out by Nodeca Technical Services.

Technical Insights

eFlow-CARs were installed in custom mounting plate assemblies to ensure optimal ventilation and energy efficiency across the 205 senior units.

eFlow-CAR FACTS

eFlow-CAR is a simple solution to balancing ventilation systems. Constant Airflow Regulator is a device that automatically regulates airflows in ventilation systems to constant levels. The passive control element responds to duct pressure, and requires no electric sensors, pneumatic sensors or controls. eFlow-CARs promote high indoor air quality and energy savings.
